Tru Earth commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 2031.

VANCOUVER, B.C. – January 2026 – Tru Earth™, leader in sustainable household products and a certified B Corporation, is proud to announce that its greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets have been officially approved by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). This milestone affirms Tru Earth’s commitment to climate action and aligns the company’s decarbonization strategy with the most ambitious goal of the Paris Agreement: limiting global warming to 1.5°C.
Following a rigorous assessment by the SBTi Target Validation Team, Tru Earth’s targets were classified as 1.5°C-aligned—the highest level of ambition recognized by the SBTi.
The approved targets are as follows:
“Tru Earth commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 46.2% by 2031 from a 2024 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.”
This achievement places Tru Earth among a select group of companies worldwide taking science-based climate action. The SBTi commended Tru Earth’s leadership and ambition, noting that the company’s targets meet the latest SBTi criteria and recommendations.
“This recognition from the SBTi marks a pivotal step forward for Tru Earth as we advance our core sustainability mission. It demonstrates our commitment to transformative climate action and inspires us to continue raising the bar for environmental responsibility in our industry,” said Anita Spiller, VP of ESG at Tru Earth.
The approved targets and temperature alignment will be published on the SBTi Target Dashboard on January 8, 2026.
Tru Earth encourages stakeholders, partners, and the broader community to follow its progress and join in advancing a low-carbon future.
